Item Description

Brainiac collects planets the way some people collect action figures, shrinking them down and adding them to his shelf, and Earth is next on his list. That threat forces the most unlikely team-up in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Batman and Robin have their hands full with Gotham's usual troublemakers, and before long the Justice League, the Lantern Corps and even the Joker and Luthor are working side by side to save the planet. The subtitle is literal: the hunt for Brainiac pulls the team out of Gotham and into space, toward the home worlds of the Lantern Corps, which gives the adventure far more variety than a night patrol through the city.

TT Fusion built this handheld version around bite-sized levels made for short sessions. Familiar LEGO puzzle-solving is driven by each hero's powers, with Superman's heat vision melting gold bricks and Batman's suits and gadgets opening new routes, and freeflow combat, new to the series in this portable edition, gives the brawls a smoother rhythm than earlier handheld LEGO games.

Collectibles are tucked throughout every level, and returning in Free Play with a wider cast of heroes and villains opens routes you could not reach the first time. Swapping between the Justice League, the Lantern Corps and Gotham's rogues is half the fun, while the music borrows from the classic Batman and Superman film themes. It is a cheerful DC adventure built for short sessions, and chasing every last collectible on a handheld is a satisfying way to spend a long weekend.
