Item Description

Kydele asks one simple question: how many cards have you drawn this turn? Tap her and she adds one colorless mana for each of them, so a turn full of card draw becomes a turn full of mana. On your own turn the count starts with your draw step, and every cantrip, wheel or draw spell after that pushes it higher, which is how Kydele decks set up explosive turns that end with a huge X spell or a pile of permanents hitting the table at once.

She is also a piece of Commander history. Commander 2016 introduced partner, letting two legends with the keyword share the command zone, and Kydele was one of the original partner commanders. Pair her with another partner that draws cards and the engine feeds itself; Tymna the Weaver, for example, lets you pay life to draw a card for each opponent your creatures damaged in combat, and every one of those draws adds to Kydele's mana that turn.

This is the Commander 2016 printing, collector number 35, illustrated by Bastien L. Deharme, in foil. Its flavor text fits a card that rewards seeing more than anyone else: "She bears the greatest burden of all: that of knowing."
