Item Description

Korvold, Fae-Cursed King eats his own kingdom and grows stronger with every bite. Whenever this five-mana 4/4 flying Dragon Noble enters or attacks, you sacrifice another permanent, and whenever you sacrifice a permanent, you put a +1/+1 counter on Korvold and draw a card. That forced sacrifice sounds like a drawback until you realize it pays you every time.

Feed him Treasures, Food, Clues, tokens or lands you no longer need, and Korvold turns each one into a card and a bigger flying body. Sacrifice outlets, fetch lands and token makers all become card-draw engines, and a few sacrifices in one turn can grow him into a lethal threat fast. In black, red and green Commander decks he is a famously explosive sacrifice commander, and part of the fun is finding new things to feed him.

This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1625, from the Outlaw Anthology Vol. 2: Sinister Scoundrels drop, a borderless card illustrated by Josh Newton & Scott Okumura, offered here in rainbow foil. Korvold first appeared in Throne of Eldraine, and this version gives him a fresh look among the drop's rogues' gallery of villains.
