Item Description
Kor Spiritdancer turns every Aura into a card. The two-mana 0/2 lets you draw whenever you cast an Aura spell, no matter where that Aura is headed, so enchanting your own creature, locking down an opponent's attacker or buffing a teammate all refill your hand. Auras attached to the Spiritdancer itself give it +2/+2 apiece, so two enchantments already make it a 4/6 that has replaced both cards.
That fixes the old problem with Aura decks, where one removal spell could cost you two or three cards at once. Here every Aura has drawn its replacement before the Aura itself even resolves, which makes the Spiritdancer a favorite engine in white voltron and enchantress-style Commander decks. The card debuted in Rise of the Eldrazi, and its flavor text captures its mystique: "She reaches beyond the physical realm, touching the ideals from which all creatures draw their power."
This is the Planechase Anthology printing, collector number 9, illustrated by Scott Chou, in non-foil, from the 2016 boxed collection of Planechase decks and planar cards.
