Item Description
Kolaghan's Command never feels dead in your hand. For three mana at instant speed you choose two of four modes: return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand, make a player discard a card, destroy an artifact, or deal 2 damage to any target. Shock a mana creature and snap a mana rock. Destroy an Equipment and get your best creature back. Make an opponent discard at the end of their turn and finish off a wounded planeswalker.
That flexibility is why it has stayed a black-red favorite since Dragons of Tarkir introduced it in 2015 as part of a cycle of Commands named for the set's five dragonlords, and Kolaghan's version is all aggression and opportunism. In Commander it earns a slot in Rakdos, Jund, Mardu and Grixis decks alike, especially ones that sacrifice creatures and want them back, and it is a handy answer when the table leans on artifacts.
This is the Double Masters 2022 borderless printing, collector number 381, illustrated by Alex Horley-Orlandelli, in non-foil, with the art running all the way to the card's edges.
