Magic: The Gathering single: Knuckles's Gloves - The Reaver Cleaver (Rainbow Foil). Our grade: Lightly Played. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.

Item Description

Knuckles the Echidna packs a punch, and his gloves turn every hit into treasure. Knuckles's Gloves is a three-mana legendary Equipment that gives the equipped creature +1/+1 and trample, along with a powerful trigger: whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, you create that many Treasure tokens.

Connect with a big creature and the payoff is enormous. A 6/6 that tramples through becomes six Treasures, enough to cast a second threat in the same turn or set up an overwhelming follow-up. Trample helps the damage get through, and anything that boosts power, adds double strike or grants extra combats multiplies the Treasure haul. Equipment, Voltron, Treasure and artifact-sacrifice decks in Commander all have a reason to play it, and an equip cost of three keeps it easy to move to a fresh attacker. The flavor text is a punchy one-liner from Knuckles himself, and this card is the Sonic the Hedgehog face of The Reaver Cleaver.

This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 2095, from the Secret Lair x Sonic the Hedgehog: Turbo Gear drop, a borderless Universes Beyond card illustrated by Jack Teagle, offered here in rainbow foil.
