Item Description
Kindred Charge is the turn where a tribal deck suddenly has twice as many creatures as it did a moment ago. For six mana, this red sorcery has you name a creature type, then creates a token copy of every creature you control of that type. The copies have haste, so they swing immediately, and they are exiled at the beginning of the next end step.
Copies are where the value lives. Every enters-the-battlefield trigger happens again, every attack trigger fires twice, and any lord of the chosen type is copied too, pumping the original army and the copies alike. A Goblin deck can double its board and its anthem effects in one card; a Dragon deck from the same Commander 2017 lineup can put a second flight of fire-breathers in the air. Since the tokens disappear anyway, sacrifice outlets turn them into extra value before end of turn. The card's flavor text sums up the attitude perfectly: “For goblins, quantity is quality.”
Kindred Charge is the red piece of Commander 2017's Kindred cycle, one tribal-support card for each color. This is the Commander 2017 printing, collector number 27, a rare illustrated by Dan Murayama Scott, offered in non-foil.
