Magic: The Gathering single: Killer Service. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Killer Service quietly turns the size of a Commander table into your advantage. This three-mana green enchantment creates a Food token for each opponent when it enters, which means three Foods in a standard four-player pod. Then, at the beginning of each of your end steps, you may pay two mana and sacrifice a token to create a 4/4 green Rhino Warrior.
The fun is in that word “token.” The starting Foods are the obvious fuel, but anything qualifies: a Treasure left over after a big turn, a Clue you never cracked, a stray 1/1 Saproling or Soldier. Every turn, Killer Service upgrades one of them into a four-power body, giving token and Food decks a steady engine that converts spare mana into real threats. Token doublers make the opening burst even bigger, and any Food you don't convert still works as lifegain when the game drags on.
The New Capenna Commander decks brought the five crime families of Streets of New Capenna to the format in 2022, and the name fits the city's mob flavor perfectly: hired muscle that shows up at the end of every one of your turns. This is the New Capenna Commander extended-art printing, collector number 161, a rare illustrated by Simon Dominic, in non-foil.
