Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Kess, Dissident Mage hands every instant and sorcery in your graveyard a second life. Once during each of your turns, you may cast an instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard, and if it would go back to the graveyard, it is exiled instead. That is like having flashback on your entire spell list, and it means every removal spell, card-draw spell and counterspell you have already used is still a resource.
For four mana in blue, black and red, she is a 3/4 flier who can lead a Grixis spellslinger Commander deck or slot into any build that fills its graveyard. Recast a tutor, rebuy a board wipe, or chain a combo piece twice in one turn. Kess first appeared in Commander 2017, and as a Human Wizard she is also right at home in Wizard-themed decks.
This is the Commander 2017 printing, collector number 39, illustrated by Izzy, in foil, her original appearance in Magic.
