Item Description
Kaya, Ghost Assassin moves between the living world and the spirit world, and her abilities feel just as slippery. Her 0 exiles Kaya herself or up to one target creature, returning that card to the battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of your next upkeep, at a cost of 2 life. Phase Kaya out to dodge an attack, blink your own creature to reuse its enters-the-battlefield effect, or remove an opposing blocker or attacker until your next turn.
Her −1 drains each opponent for 2 while you gain 2, which scales nicely at a multiplayer table, and her −2 makes each opponent discard a card while you draw one. For four mana and 5 starting loyalty, that is a flexible white-black toolbox for Orzhov Commander decks and Kaya fans alike. Kaya first appeared in Conspiracy: Take the Crown, the 2016 multiplayer draft set, so this design is where the Orzhov planeswalker's story began.
