Item Description
"Don't fear death. Fear Karrthus." The flavor text is not bluffing. For seven mana you get a 7/7 flying, hasty Dragon, and when Karrthus enters, you gain control of all Dragons, then untap all of them. Every Dragon an opponent was counting on now belongs to you, and because other Dragon creatures you control have haste, the whole stolen flight can join Karrthus in the air that very turn.
In a Dragon tribal Commander deck that is a game-ending swing, and at a multiplayer table it is also brutal politics: the player who built a Dragon wall to stay safe has just handed you an air force. Karrthus first ruled the shard of Jund in Alara Reborn, a world where Dragons sit at the top of a savage food chain, and his black-red-green colors make him a fierce commander in his own right or a top-end threat in any Jund build.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1250, illustrated by Sam Burley, in foil, giving the tyrant of Jund a fittingly fiery shine.
