Item Description

Kamahl spent the Odyssey and Onslaught storylines growing from an arena pit fighter into a druid of the Krosan forest, and Heart of Krosa captures him at the height of that power. At the beginning of combat on each of your turns, every creature you control gets +3/+3 and gains trample until end of turn, which turns even a modest board into a lethal alpha strike.

He also brings his own attackers. For two mana, any land you control becomes a 1/1 Elemental with vigilance, indestructible and haste until end of turn, and it's still a land. Animate a few lands in your first main phase, and the combat trigger turns each of them into a 4/4 trampler that can't be destroyed and won't even need to tap to attack. Eight mana is a big ask, but green ramp decks get there, and partner lets you pair him with a second commander to add another color.

Commander Legends was the first set built for drafting Commander decks, and it was packed with partner legends like this one. This is the Commander Legends etched-foil printing, collector number 581, illustrated by Kekai Kotaki.
