Item Description

Just Dance 3 is the entry where the series grew up from surprise hit to living-room institution. Ubisoft Paris's 2011 release followed two enormous Wii sellers, and it was the first Just Dance to branch out to other consoles, yet the Wii version kept a set of extras all its own, the kind of party features that made it the definitive way to play it on the system where the series started.

The heart of it is unchanged: hold the Wii Remote, mirror the on-screen dancers, and the game scores your moves across a tracklist of pop, hip-hop, rock and classic party songs. What changed is the scale. Routines expanded beyond solo and duet choreography to full four-person crews, so a whole group can learn one routine together, with each dancer taking their own part.

The Wii edition stacks on more ways to keep the party going. Smart Shuffle, Speed Shuffle and Non-Stop Shuffle string songs together so nobody has to stop and pick from a menu, and Hold My Hand lets up to eight players share four Wii Remotes, pairing up hand in hand so twice as many people can dance at once. It also includes an exclusive routine, Just Mario, a cheeky nod to the console it lives on.

Plenty of Just Dance games have followed, but this one has a special pull for anyone who remembers the series' early Wii peak, when it was the disc that came out at every sleepover and family gathering. If you want the Wii-only extras and the routines that made Just Dance a household name, this is the one to put in the drive.
