Item Description
Jeweled Lotus does exactly what Black Lotus does, three mana of a single color for the price of nothing, with one leash attached: that mana can only be spent to cast your commander. Revealed as the headline mythic of Commander Legends in 2020, it was designed from the ground up for the format where every deck is built around one legend.
That leash is also the thrill. Play a land and the Lotus on turn one and a four-mana commander is already on the battlefield; on turn two, a five-mana centerpiece can arrive before anyone has a blocker. For commanders that do nothing until they hit the table, those stolen turns change the whole game, and few cards of the Commander era have sparked as much conversation about fast mana. It is the Lotus name reimagined for a new format, and that lineage gives it a weight in any binder that few modern artifacts can match.
This is the extended-art Commander Legends printing, collector number 695, illustrated by Alayna Danner, in non-foil, with the artwork stretched wider than the standard frame allows. For a card that announced an entire set, that larger canvas makes it an eye-catching showpiece in any binder built around Commander's history.
