Item Description
From the Vault: Relics was a celebration of Magic's most memorable artifacts, and Jester's Cap earned its place in that lineup. This version carries D. Alexander Gregory's illustration in foil, a very different presentation from the Ice Age era where the card began.
The effect is as sharp as ever. For four mana you cast it, and for two more you tap and sacrifice it to search a target player's library for three cards of your choice and exile them, then that player shuffles. You see their whole deck and remove the three cards that matter most, whether that is a combo piece, a finisher or the removal that would break up your board. Arcum Dagsson's advice in the flavor text, to know your foes' strengths as well as their weaknesses, has never been more literal. In Commander it is a great way to strip a key win condition before it shows up.
