Item Description
Inspirit, Flagship Vessel is a three-color artifact engine that grows into a flying fortress. Like every Spacecraft, it charges up through station: as a sorcery, tap another creature you control and put charge counters on Inspirit equal to that creature's power. With even one counter it starts working, and at the beginning of combat on your turn it puts your choice of a +1/+1 counter or two charge counters on up to one other target artifact.
At eight or more counters the ship becomes a 5/5 artifact creature with flying, and your other artifacts gain hexproof and indestructible, shrugging off targeted removal and destroy effects alike. That makes it a natural captain for blue-red-white artifact decks in Commander: it speeds other Spacecraft toward their own station thresholds, grows artifact creatures turn after turn, and once fully charged it shields the whole fleet.
Edge of Eternities took Magic into science fiction, introducing Spacecraft and station, and Inspirit comes from its companion Commander release. This is the Edge of Eternities Commander printing, collector number 2, a borderless mythic illustrated by Titus Lunter, in non-foil.
