Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Enchantress decks and Saga decks both find a payoff here. Historian's Boon makes a 1/1 white Soldier whenever it or another nontoken enchantment enters under your control, and whenever the final chapter ability of one of your Sagas triggers, it creates a 4/4 white Angel with flying and vigilance.
That second ability is the exciting one. Sagas are already value engines, and stapling a free 4/4 flier to the last chapter turns every Saga into a creature spell as well. Because Sagas are enchantments, each one triggers both abilities over its life: a Soldier when it enters, an Angel when it finishes. Enchantress commanders like Sythis, Harvest's Hand get a steady stream of Soldiers to block, sacrifice or go wide with, and Saga-focused decks led by Tom Bombadil turn it into an Angel factory. Sagas debuted on Dominaria, so it is fitting that this card arrived with Dominaria United's Commander decks.
This is the Dominaria United Commander extended-art printing, collector number 71, illustrated by Irina Nordsol, in foil. The extended frame runs Nordsol's artwork out toward the card edges, and the foil finish adds extra shine to it on the table.
