Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Clean, flexible removal never goes out of style. For three mana at instant speed, Hero's Downfall destroys target creature or planeswalker, no conditions and no fine print. It handles a threatening commander, a planeswalker about to ultimate or a creature about to swing, and it does it on your opponent's turn when it hurts most.
That flexibility has kept the card in black decks since it first appeared in Theros, and it is still a reliable pick for Commander players who want one answer that covers both permanent types.
This version comes from the Saturday Morning D&D Secret Lair drop, which reimagined cards in the style of the 1980s Dungeons & Dragons animated series. This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 312, a borderless card illustrated by Tyler Walpole, offered here in foil. The flavor text adds a gloating villain's boast straight out of a cartoon cliffhanger, which suits a spell built to end a hero's run.
