Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Heartbeat of Spring is green mana acceleration at its most generous and its most chaotic. Whenever any player taps a land for mana, that player adds one more mana of a type that land produced, so every basic land effectively makes two. Because it helps everyone, the fun is in timing. Cast it when your hand is ready to explode and you get the first turn with double mana; in Commander and casual multiplayer games it turns the whole table into a race of enormous spells, which is why some playgroups love it and others fear it. X spells, mana sinks and big creatures all get dramatically better while it stays on the battlefield.
This Secret Lair version adds romance to the chaos. Peo Michie's borderless art comes with new flavor text that turns the card into a small love note from Saheeli to Huatli about Ixalan being a paradise, mostly because Huatli is there. It is a warm, character-driven take on a card usually remembered for blowing up games.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1010, a borderless rare illustrated by Peo Michie, offered here in foil.
