Complete in box: the cartridge, the manual and the box, all original; anything beyond that is included only if you can see it in the photos. Look over the photos for condition, packaging and details. Every cartridge's shell, label and board are checked for authenticity when it comes into the store, and it's tested before it's listed. It ships in a collector's bag or a hard plastic case.
Item Description
Day one in Mineral Town: a neglected field of rocks, weeds and stumps, a handful of basic tools, and a whole community waiting to see whether you'll stick around. Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town turns that rough plot into one of the most absorbing little worlds on the Game Boy Advance, and the daily rhythm of clearing, planting, watering and shipping becomes surprisingly hard to put down.
Every season changes the work. Spring, summer and fall bring their own crops to plant and harvest, winter turns your attention to livestock and the mines, and your stamina meter forces you to plan each day rather than brute-force it. Chickens and cows need daily care, ore from the mines lets the town blacksmith upgrade your tools, and hidden Power Berries quietly expand how much you can do before sunset. The tiny Harvest Sprites can even be recruited to help with chores once you've earned their friendship, and the seasonal festivals give the calendar something to look forward to.
The town is the real heart of it. Mineral Town's residents have routines, opinions and favorite gifts, and getting to know them unlocks small, sweet story scenes. You can court and marry one of five bachelorettes, including Mary the librarian, Elli from the clinic, Ann from the inn, Popuri and Karen, and start a family on the farm you built from nothing.
Friends of Mineral Town reimagined the PlayStation's Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for handhelds and was published in North America by Natsume in 2003. It became the version many fans consider the definitive classic-era Harvest Moon, spawning More Friends of Mineral Town with a female farmer and, years later, a full remake on Nintendo Switch as Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Its formula of farming, friendship and seasonal routine is the foundation that modern farm-life games like Stardew Valley built on, and this cartridge is the cleanest way to see where that started.
