Complete in box: the disc, the manual and the original case, all original; anything beyond that is included only if you can see it in the photos. Look over the photos for condition, packaging and details. Discs are professionally resurfaced when they need it and tested before listing. It ships in a collector's bag or a hard plastic case.
Plenty of licensed games handed kids the plot of the film. This one handed them Hogwarts. EA's 2002 console version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets turns the castle into a place to wander between lessons, full of locked doors, hidden passages and corners you are not supposed to be poking into after curfew, and that sense of a school worth exploring is why so many players remember it fondly.
The spell list grows with the school year, and each new charm changes what the castle will let you do. Flipendo carries over from Harry's first year, Lumos turns up on a trip into Knockturn Alley, Alohomora can be bought from Fred and George, and classes and late-night adventures add Incendio, Avifors, Diffindo, Skurge and Expelliarmus. Returning to familiar corridors with a new spell in hand and finding a way past something that blocked you earlier is the game's quiet pleasure, while patrolling prefects and their Locomotor Mortis make sneaking around after dark feel suitably risky.
Around the main story there is plenty to keep a young wizard busy: Quidditch matches, broomstick races, Wizard Cards tucked behind side quests, clearing gnomes out of a garden, and the Duelling Club, where Expelliarmus becomes a way to turn an opponent's spells back on them. The broom also opens up free flight over the grounds, and on the Xbox you touch down at set landing zones rather than anywhere you like.
The adventure follows Harry's second year all the way from the mysterious attacks on students to the descent into the Chamber itself, with colorful, chunky early-2000s visuals and a cozy, storybook mood. It captures the height of the Potter boom, when every new film arrived with a game to match, and on the original Xbox it is a fun, nostalgic way to roam the castle again with a wand in hand.
Port of "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets" for Xbox and GameCube. Developed by EA UK and Eurocom, the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of the game allow the player to access a broom and enter free-flight mode. While the PlayStation 2 version allows the player to land anywhere they want, in the Xbox and GameCube version the landing zones are limited. In the GameCube version, there is an exclusive feature involving GC–GBA connectivity that allows a secret room to be opened when the two versions are connected.
