Magic: The Gathering single: Gruul Turf, from Masterpiece Series: Double Masters 2022 Borderless. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Gruul Turf looks like a slow land until you count the cards. It enters tapped and returns a land you control to your hand, but it taps for both red and green mana, so one land slot gives you two mana and lets you replay the land you returned. That is extra value in every game, and it gives decks a way to stretch fewer land cards further.
The bounce is often a bonus. Return a land that has already done its job, such as a utility land or a land with an enters-the-battlefield effect, and play it again. In landfall decks, replaying the returned land means another trigger. Gruul Turf first appeared in Guildpact as part of Ravnica's bounce-land cycle, and it has been a dependable piece of red-green Commander mana bases ever since.
Double Masters 2022 gave the bounce lands a borderless makeover, and Ron Spencer's art for Gruul Turf spreads across the full card. This is the Double Masters 2022 borderless printing, collector number 407, illustrated by Ron Spencer, in non-foil.
