Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Dan Frazier painted the original Moxen in Magic's first set, so there is something fitting about him returning to paint mana rocks decades later. This Gruul Signet comes from Dan Frazier Is Back: The Allied Signets, a Secret Lair that gave the Signets of Ravnica's allied guilds his artwork in a retro frame.
The card is simple and endlessly useful. Gruul Signet is a two-mana artifact: pay one mana and tap it to add one red and one green mana. Play it on turn two and you have four mana on turn three, and both of those colors are exactly what a red-green deck needs. Signets have been staples of Commander mana bases since Ravnica, and the Gruul version is at home in any deck running both colors, from dragon and dinosaur stompy lists to big landfall and wide-creature builds.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing from Dan Frazier Is Back: The Allied Signets, collector number 288, illustrated by Dan Frazier, in non-foil.
