Magic: The Gathering single: Golgari Grave-Troll. Our grade: Lightly Played or better. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Most creatures want to stay out of the graveyard. Golgari Grave-Troll can't wait to get there. With dredge 6, you can skip any draw to mill six cards and return the Troll to your hand, building a bigger graveyard each time, and when you finally cast it, it enters with a +1/+1 counter for every creature card sitting in there.
The result is a five-mana threat that can arrive as a 6/6 or larger, and it can pay one mana and remove a counter to regenerate when removal comes its way. All that self-milling also sets up reanimation, flashback and other graveyard payoffs, which is why the Troll has anchored Dredge and self-mill strategies since the original Ravnica. In Duel Decks: Izzet vs. Golgari it brought that rot-and-regrowth identity to the Golgari side of the matchup.
This is the Duel Decks: Izzet vs. Golgari printing from 2012, collector number 60, illustrated by Greg Hildebrandt, the veteran fantasy painter whose career with his brother Tim includes famous Tolkien calendar art and the original Star Wars poster. Offered in non-foil.
