Item Description
This Glistener Elf speaks Phyrexian. Its text is printed in the angular script of Phyrexia itself, turning a one-mana creature into an alien artifact that looks like it was pulled straight from the Machine Orthodoxy's archives.
Underneath the script is a famously aggressive card: a one-mana green 1/1 Phyrexian Elf Warrior with infect, dealing damage to creatures as -1/-1 counters and to players as poison counters. Ten poison counters wins the game, so a single pump spell on turn two or three can put an opponent on a very short clock. Infect players have built whole decks around it since New Phyrexia in 2011, and it is a natural pick for poison and toxic strategies in casual play and Commander alike.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1205, a Phyrexian-language showcase card illustrated by Steve Argyle, who also painted the original, offered here in foil. It came from the Phyrexian Faves drop alongside Blighted Agent, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, Batterskull and Inkmoth Nexus, and it is a showpiece for any infect or Phyrexian-themed collection.
