Drew Tucker's borderless painting gives Glimpse the Unthinkable a completely new face, and a new flavor story to go with it: a scholar who spent his life hunting a forbidden tome and kept his sanity only long enough to decipher one word. It is an eerie, memorable take on a card that has always been about the dangers of knowing too much.
The spell itself is as efficient as ever. Glimpse costs two mana, one blue and one black, and a single line of text: target player mills ten cards. Aim it at an opponent to carve a chunk out of their library, or at yourself to load your graveyard for reanimation, flashback or delve. Blue-black mill and graveyard decks have reached for it since the original Ravnica, and in Commander it does both jobs equally well.
This is the Double Masters 2022 borderless printing, collector number 378, illustrated by Drew Tucker, in non-foil. The art runs to the edges of the card with no traditional frame, making it a striking alternative to the classic Brandon Kitkouski version.
