Magic: The Gathering single: Generous Gift, from Modern Horizons 1 Timeshifts. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Generous Gift is the most polite way to destroy anything in Magic. For three mana at instant speed, it destroys target permanent, any type at all, and hands its controller a 3/3 green Elephant as a consolation prize.
That flexibility is why it is such a popular white removal spell in Commander. It handles a commander, a combo piece, an enchantment, a planeswalker or even a land, and a vanilla Elephant is a small price for removing something that would otherwise win the game. In a pinch you can even aim it at your own expendable permanent to turn it into a 3/3 body.
This is the Modern Horizons 1 Timeshifts printing, collector number 2, illustrated by Kev Walker, in foil. These retro-frame versions of Modern Horizons cards were found in Modern Horizons 2 boosters, so this Gift wears Magic's classic original card frame, and its flavor text, “The best presents are impossible to regift,” reads even better in that old-school border.
