Item Description
Forbidden Orchard is a land that taps for one mana of any color, with a twist: whenever you tap it for mana, target opponent creates a 1/1 colorless Spirit creature token. For most decks that is a small price for perfect fixing. For the right deck, it is the whole point.
Vintage players famously used it with Oath of Druids, handing an opponent a Spirit so they control more creatures and Oath triggers in your favor. In Commander, the Spirits can fuel your own engines too: feed effects that reward opponents' creatures, give your Edicts and Wraths more to work with, or keep politics friendly at a group-hug table. And when you just need a land that makes every color in a four-color deck, it does that job without a second thought.
This is the Commander 2016 printing, collector number 296, a rare illustrated by Daniel Ljunggren, offered here in non-foil, from the 2016 Commander release that introduced four-color commanders like Atraxa, Praetors' Voice and Breya, Etherium Shaper.
