Item Description
Pikachu has floated through the Pokémon TCG on a bundle of balloons since the Wizards of the Coast promo days, and Celebrations sent that airborne mascot soaring as a Pokémon VMAX. Flying Pikachu VMAX evolves from Flying Pikachu V and packs 310 HP, a remarkable total for the little Electric mouse.
Its one attack, Max Balloon, costs one Lightning and two Colorless Energy and hits for 160, then prevents all damage done to it by attacks from Basic Pokémon during your opponent's next turn. That makes it a frustrating wall against Basic attackers, and with no Retreat Cost it can slip in and out of the Active Spot freely.
Celebrations was the Pokémon TCG's 25th-anniversary set in 2021, a compact 25-card main set packed with Pikachu and throwback favorites. This is the Celebrations printing, collector number 007/025, a Holo Rare VMAX illustrated by aky CG Works, in holofoil. aky CG Works' polished computer-generated style gives the balloon ride a playful, three-dimensional pop that suits the anniversary mood.
