Item Description
Every multicolor deck wants smooth mana, and Fabled Passage provides it without a life payment or a slow start once your game is under way. Tap and sacrifice it to search your library for a basic land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle; then, if you control four or more lands, untap that land. In the opening turns it finds the exact basic you're missing; later it behaves like an untapped land that also thins your deck.
Lands-matter players get even more out of it. The Passage counts as two landfall triggers, one as it enters and one as the basic arrives, and it puts a land into your graveyard for Crucible of Worlds or Ramunap Excavator to replay. That flexibility has made it one of the most widely played lands in Commander, fitting nearly any deck that runs basics.
This is the Wizards Play Network promo printing, in foil. WPN promos are handed out through participating local game stores, and this Fabled Passage promo presents the card in Magic's classic retro frame, giving a modern land an old-school look that sits nicely beside older cards in a binder.
