Item Description
Ezuri, Claw of Progress turns a stream of small creatures into one very large problem. Whenever a creature with power 2 or less enters under your control, you get an experience counter, and at the beginning of combat on your turn you put X +1/+1 counters on another target creature you control, where X is the number of experience counters you have.
Because experience counters never go away, the effect only grows. Mana creatures, token makers and utility bodies all feed it, and by midgame each combat can load several counters onto an evasive or trampling attacker. As a green-blue commander it anchors +1/+1 counter decks, pairs naturally with proliferate and counter-doubling effects, and gives a board of modest creatures a clear route to victory. Experience counters were introduced in Commander 2015, the product where Ezuri first appeared.
This is the Double Masters 2022 foil-etched printing, collector number 494, illustrated by James Ryman. Double Masters 2022 gathered a host of Commander and Constructed favorites, and the etched foil treatment gives the Phyrexian Elf Warrior a metallic finish worthy of the command zone.
