Magic: The Gathering single: Exploration, from Conspiracy. Our grade: Lightly Played or better. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Few cards do so much with so little. For a single green mana, Exploration gives you an extra land drop on every one of your turns, so the lands you draw stop sitting in your hand and start turning into mana, landfall triggers and momentum.
Its natural home is any deck that wants lands to do more: Crucible of Worlds and Ramunap Excavator recursion, landfall creatures that trigger twice a turn, or big-mana Commander decks racing toward their seven-drops. First printed in Urza's Saga in 1998, it has a long history in lands-matter strategies, and dropping two lands in one turn feels a little like cheating every time.
This is the Conspiracy printing, collector number 164, illustrated by Florian de Gesincourt, in non-foil. Conspiracy was Magic's 2014 multiplayer draft set, known for draft-matters cards and political mechanics, and it brought a handful of older favorites like Exploration back into circulation. De Gesincourt's art comes with Cyrul the Wanderer's flavor text: "Only when we journey into the unknown can we find the impossible."
