Item Description
Every Pokémon TCG player knows the sinking feeling of a Knocked Out attacker taking all of its Energy to the discard pile. Energy Retrieval is the simple, reliable fix: play it and put up to two basic Energy cards from your discard pile back into your hand, ready to attach to your next attacker.
It has been reprinted across many eras of the game because it does something nearly every deck needs. Attackers that discard Energy as part of their attacks get a quick refuel, decks that rely on one manual attachment per turn stay on schedule after a Knock Out, and in a tight late game those two Energy can be the difference between powering up a fresh attacker and passing the turn. As an Item, it slots in alongside your Supporter for the turn rather than competing with it.
This is Energy Retrieval from ME04: Chaos Rising, number 108/086, an Ultra Rare foil numbered beyond the main set, with illustration credited to Studio Bora Inc. A workhorse Trainer in a premium print is a fun way to make a deck look as polished as it plays.
