Item Description

Eleven years is a long time to wait for a fight song. After NCAA Football 14 in 2013, the college game disappeared from consoles, and EA Sports College Football 25 brought it back in 2024, rebuilt by EA Orlando exclusively for current-generation hardware like the Xbox Series X with all 134 FBS schools, their stadiums, uniforms and traditions.

The headline is how much the crowd matters. A Stadium Pulse meter tracks how loud the building is getting, and every player carries a composure rating, so a low-composure quarterback walking into a hostile road atmosphere struggles with pre-snap reads, audibles and hot routes. Wear & Tear adds fatigue by body area, with repeated hits wearing a player down and raising injury risk, which makes depth charts and rotations matter. Each team has its own playbook modeled on real schemes, from Air Force’s triple option to Oklahoma’s wide splits and Michigan’s power running game, and players can carry up to eight abilities, such as Ballhawk or Side Step, that reflect how they actually play.

The modes cover everything the old series was known for and more. Dynasty is the deep, years-long program builder with recruiting at its core, Road to Glory follows a single player’s career, Road to the College Football Playoff tackles one season, and College Football Ultimate Team adds card-based team building. It was also the first college football game to feature real players by name and likeness, made possible by the sport’s new NIL rules.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards shared the cover, and Hunter went on to win the Heisman Trophy that season. As the game that ended the long wait, this is the revival’s opening chapter, and a snapshot of the 2024 season on the field.
