Item Description
Dramatic Entrance is exactly what the name promises. For five mana at instant speed, you put a green creature card from your hand onto the battlefield, no casting required. Drop a huge creature at the end of an opponent's turn, untap and swing, or flash in a surprise blocker to blow out an attack your opponent thought was safe.
Because the creature is put onto the battlefield rather than cast, the trick works best with green creatures whose mana costs dwarf the instant itself, turning five mana into something far bigger. Green ramp and big-creature Commander decks get the most mileage from it, especially those packed with creatures that trigger when they enter.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 2290, a borderless foil from the Secret Lair x Avatar: The Last Airbender drop Everything Changed, illustrated by Eduardo Francisco. Its flavor text borrows a challenge from the series about a final test that comes down to a duel, a playful match for a card about making a grand entrance.
