Item Description
Doubling Season turns everything you build into twice as much. If an effect would create one or more tokens under your control, it creates twice that many instead, and if an effect would put one or more counters on a permanent you control, it puts twice that many. Token makers make double, +1/+1 counter strategies grow at double speed, and planeswalkers enter with twice their starting loyalty, often ready to use their ultimate immediately.
Few enchantments have shaped Commander the way this one has since it first appeared in Ravnica: City of Guilds in 2005. It is a five-mana green card that fits token decks, counters decks, Saga and planeswalker decks, and it gets even more absurd alongside other doublers and replacement effects. Playing it often means the rest of the table has to answer it immediately or deal with exponential growth.
This is the borderless printing from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Source Material, collector number 11, a mythic illustrated by Kevin Eastman and offered here in non-foil. Eastman co-created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so this version puts art from one of the franchise's original creators on one of Magic's most celebrated enchantments, a crossover treat for both Turtles fans and Commander players.
