Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Two mana in, two colored mana out. Dimir Signet is the classic blue-black mana rock: it costs two generic mana, and for one generic mana and a tap it adds one blue and one black, turning colorless mana into exactly the colors a Dimir deck needs.
First printed in Ravnica: City of Guilds, the Signets became a backbone of Commander mana bases because they come down early, fix colors and let you jump from two mana to four on the following turn. In Dimir specifically, that means a turn-three four-drop, a counterspell held up alongside a creature, or casting your commander a full turn ahead of schedule. Cheap, reliable and colorless to cast, it fits anywhere blue and black are the plan.
This is the Secret Lair Drop retro-frame printing, collector number 287, illustrated by Dan Frazier, in non-foil. Frazier painted some of Magic's earliest artifact art, including the original Moxen, so seeing his work on a Signet in an old-school frame is a fun bridge between eras.
