Item Description
Team Rocket's Dark Weezing is a cloud of trouble with a self-destructive streak. Mass Explosion, for one Grass and one Colorless Energy, does 20 damage times the total number of Koffing, Weezing and Dark Weezing in play, and then blasts 20 damage onto every one of those Pokémon, your own included. Stack a bench full of Koffing and the payoff gets big fast, provided you are willing to pay the price.
Stun Gas gives it a steadier option: 20 damage for three Grass Energy plus a coin flip that leaves the Defending Pokémon either Poisoned or Paralyzed, so every result hurts. The 60 HP Stage 1 evolves from Koffing and, like the rest of the set's Dark Pokémon, has a nastier attitude than its regular counterpart.
Team Rocket, released in 2000, was the expansion that introduced Dark Pokémon and let players build around the series' favorite villains. This is the Team Rocket holofoil printing, collector number 14/82, illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshida. It is a great pull for a Team Rocket master set or a binder devoted to Team Rocket's rogues' gallery.
