Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.

Item Description

Cut // Ribbons gives you two very different spells, separated by time. Up front, Cut costs two mana and deals 4 damage to target creature, efficient removal for any red deck. Later, thanks to aftermath, Ribbons can be cast from your graveyard for X plus two black mana, and each opponent loses X life.

That second half is why Commander players adore it. In a long multiplayer game, Ribbons becomes a finisher that drains every opponent at once and scales with all the mana a black-red deck can produce. Self-mill decks can even skip Cut entirely and cast Ribbons straight out of the graveyard once it gets there, turning a big mana turn into a table-wide knockout.

This is the Secret Lair Drop printing from Secret Lair x MSCHF, collector number 367, a full-art card in gold foil-etched. The November 2021 collaboration with the Brooklyn art collective MSCHF tied each card to one of the group's projects, and Cut // Ribbons nods to their notorious Satan Shoes, which makes this a conversation piece as much as a game piece.
