Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Consecrated Sphinx makes every opponent's draw step feel like your own. Whenever an opponent draws a card, you may draw two, so in a four-player Commander game a single trip around the table can hand you six fresh cards before your next turn even starts.
The body matters as much as the trigger. A 4/6 flier survives plenty of damage-based removal and walls most early attackers, which means opponents usually have to spend a real answer on it or watch you pull away. Decks that force extra draws push it even further: a wheel effect that refills every opponent's hand becomes a mountain of cards for you, and group-draw artifacts turn into a one-sided feast.
This is the Double Masters 2022 foil-etched printing, collector number 427, with Mark Zug's artwork given the etched treatment and the flavor line “A curse is just another name for an unwanted blessing.” The card first appeared in Scars of Mirrodin back in 2010, and the etched finish gives Zug's sphinx a subtle metallic shimmer.
