Item Description
Build & Battle Boxes are how a new set first reaches the table. The Chaos Rising boxes were the centerpiece of prerelease events in May 2026, when players sat down a week or two before the May 22 launch, cracked fresh packs, and built decks from whatever they opened.
That is the joy of the format. Each box is built around a ready-to-play 40-card deck led by a promo Pokémon, and the Chaos Rising lineup centers on four of them: Delphox, Ampharos, Crobat and Goodra. The real fun starts when new cards from your packs push their way into the deck, turning a starter list into something that feels like your own.
The set behind it is the ME04 expansion of the Mega Evolution era, released May 22, 2026. Its story drops a city into chaos after dark, with Mega Greninja ex rallying the other Mega Evolutions to face the threat. Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex share the spotlight, and the top of the set is crowded: Mega Greninja ex appears as both a Special Illustration Rare and a Mega Hyper Rare, alongside Special Illustration Rares of Cinccino ex, AZ's Tranquility and Roxie's Performance.
For players, it is the friendliest way into Chaos Rising. For collectors, a sealed Build & Battle Box is a time capsule of prerelease weekend, the moment a set goes from spoiler season to something you can hold in your hands.
