Item Condition:
This loose NES cartridge of Castlequest is in tested and fully functional condition. Expect typical signs of age-related wear such as light scuffs or minor label wear, but nothing that affects playability. The cartridge, label, and internal PCB board are all original—no reproductions. Please see the photos to view the exact item you’ll receive.

Item Description:
Welcome to Castle Harlech, where traps, monsters, and mind-melting puzzles await! Castlequest drops you into the tunic of Prince Rafael as he infiltrates a sprawling, 120-room labyrinth to rescue the kidnapped Princess Margarita. But this isn’t your standard side-scroller—this is a thinker’s dungeon crawler, where your brain is just as important as your sword (and your key collection).

Key Features:

  • Puzzle-Platforming Hybrid: Solve switch-based puzzles, push blocks, and unlock doors while avoiding deadly enemies. Patience and planning are everything.

  • Massive Castle Layout: With over 100 interconnected rooms, Castlequest demands exploration, memory, and just a little luck.

  • Inventory Management: Use keys wisely—run out, and you may find yourself trapped in a royal mess.

  • Unique for Its Time: A departure from typical NES action games, Castlequest emphasizes problem-solving over button mashing.

A curious blend of strategy and platforming wrapped in medieval mystery, Castlequest is perfect for retro gamers who like their adventures served with a side of cerebral challenge. It’s not just a quest—it’s a castle-sized conundrum.
