Item Description
Canopy Gargantuan does not just attack; it makes your whole army grow out of control. The seven-mana 7/7 Dragon has flying and ward 2, and at the beginning of your upkeep it puts +1/+1 counters on each other creature you control equal to that creature's toughness.
The math gets wild fast. A 2/4 becomes a 6/8 after one upkeep and a 14/16 after the next, because each round of counters raises toughness and the next round counts it again. High-toughness creatures and toughness-matters decks, such as those led by Arcades, the Strategist or Doran, the Siege Tower, get enormous mileage from it, and +1/+1 counter decks with proliferate or counter doublers push the numbers even higher. Ward 2 makes it harder to answer before that first upkeep trigger lands.
