The genius of the game is how it wraps a genuinely funny, sharply written story around tight brawler combat, bike-riding, go-kart races, carnival games, and actual in-class minigames that earn Jimmy new abilities. It's a complete world unto itself.

What makes Bully stand apart even decades later is its tone. Rockstar nailed the aesthetic of a 1950s-tinged school-movie fantasy — letter jackets, prefect whistles, chemistry class pranks — and gave it enough edge to feel genuinely subversive without losing its heart.
