Item Condition

This Blue Nintendo DSi comes as a loose unit — the handheld itself, without a box or original accessories. Coolection photographs every piece of hardware as it actually sits in hand, so the real photos give you the honest look at this exact system. You're welcome to use the "Request Additional Pictures" button on this product page to ask for additional high-resolution shots before you commit. This DSi has been fully tested by our team and was powering on and running as expected. Please refer to the provided photos for the exact details of the item's condition.

Item Description

Two cameras, a music app that could warp your voice into a chipmunk squeak, and a pair of bigger screens: the Nintendo DSi was the DS family's playful, connected upgrade. Nintendo brought it to North America in 2009 as a slimmer follow-up to the DS Lite, and this blue model gives it a cool, understated finish that stands apart from the standard black.

The headline upgrades were real. Two cameras fed the DSi Camera app's goofy photo effects, an SD card slot handled photos and music, and the system launched with access to Nintendo's DSi Shop for downloadable DSiWare games (a service that has since closed). The DSi also runs DSi-enhanced cartridges that tap its extra hardware. The one thing it gave up was the Game Boy Advance slot, so GBA cartridges need a different system.

The real treasure is the Nintendo DS library, which the DSi plays natively. Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, The World Ends with You, Chrono Trigger, Mario Kart DS, and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are just a start on one of the deepest handheld catalogs ever made. With its larger screens and slim profile, the DSi is a comfortable way to finally work through the DS games you have been meaning to replay, and the blue shell makes it a welcome color variant in a Nintendo handheld collection.
