Bleach fights have always turned on the moment a sword is released: a shout, a surge of spiritual pressure, and a duel that suddenly runs at a completely different speed. Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is built around that idea. Developed by Tamsoft and published by Bandai Namco in 2025, it is a 3D arena fighter that brings Ichigo Kurosaki, the captains of the Gotei 13 and the Arrancar of Hueco Mundo back to consoles, arriving just as the anime’s Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation had pulled the series back into the spotlight.

Its combat throws out the usual health bar. Each fighter carries a set number of Konpaku, or soul points, and wearing down an opponent’s Reishi gauge opens the way for a Kikon move, a cinematic finisher that permanently strips one away. Lose all of your Konpaku and the match is over. Transformations are woven into that system: Soul Reapers release their Shikai and Bankai, Arrancar unleash their Resurrección, and fighters such as Uryu Ishida and Yasutora Sado have awakened forms of their own, each one boosting their power and how much damage a finisher can do. Counters, guard breaks and signature moves round out a toolkit that is easy to pick up.

The story mode retells Bleach from the beginning, moving from Karakura Town through the Soul Society and on into Hueco Mundo, with branching paths and extra scenarios that spotlight characters beyond Ichigo’s circle, from Byakuya Kuchiki to Mayuri Kurotsuchi. The game offers both Japanese and English voice tracks, talismans and Soul Crystals add perks to tune a favorite fighter, and Kisuke Urahara’s shop trades in-game points for titles and portraits.

Reviewers were quick to praise how faithfully it captures Tite Kubo’s look, with sharp animation and big, screen-filling special moves, even if the combat runs lighter than the genre’s deepest fighters. That makes it a game for people who love Bleach first: a chance to restage the Soul Society duels and Arrancar showdowns you remember, Bankai and all, with the kind of spectacle the series spent years waiting for.
