Item Description
"Dreaming of one day flying, it practices by leaping off cliffs every day." Bagon's Pokédex entry is the whole charm of this little Dragon-type: a stubborn, hard-headed dreamer that throws itself off cliffs long before its wings arrive, and whose line through Shelgon to the fearsome Salamence gives that dream a spectacular payoff.
Dragon Vault was a special 20-card set released in 2012, the year Dragon-type Pokémon joined the TCG with Dragons Exalted, and every card in it is a holofoil. It gathered the era's dragons into a single collectible run, and this Bagon is card 6/20, illustrated by Kouki Saitou. It is a Basic Dragon-type with 50 HP, a one-Energy Headbutt for 10 and Dragon Claw for 20, paid with the Fire-plus-Water Energy mix that made Dragon-types of that era so distinctive.
For anyone building a Salamence evolution line or chasing a complete Dragon Vault set, it is a bright, characterful piece of a fun corner of Pokémon TCG history.
