Item Description

Adrix and Nev, Twincasters are the Quandrix twins of Strixhaven, a college devoted to the magic of mathematics and nature, and their card does the math in your favor: if one or more tokens would be created under your control, twice that many are created instead.

For four mana you get a green-blue 2/2 with ward 2, which makes it more annoying to remove than its size suggests. As the face commander of the Commander 2021 Quantum Quandrix deck it leads a Simic token strategy, and the doubling applies to every kind of token: creatures, Fractals, Treasures, Clues, Food and more. Pair it with other token doublers or populate effects and the numbers climb absurdly fast, and in the 99 of any token deck that can cast green and blue it turns every token maker into twice the value.

This is the Commander 2021 printing, collector number 9, illustrated by Andrew Mar, in foil. It is the foil version that served as the precon's displayed commander, making it a natural centerpiece for a Simic token deck.
