Item Description
Lorwyn has always been the plane of changelings, the shapeshifters that count as every creature type at once, and Abundant Countryside brings that idea to the mana base. It taps for colorless mana, or for one mana of any color as long as you spend it on a creature spell. Then, once the game goes long, you can pay six and tap it to create a 1/1 colorless Shapeshifter token with changeling.
That combination is built for typal Commander decks. A multicolor Elves, Faeries, Dragons or Slivers list gets a land that fixes every creature it casts, and each changeling token counts for every creature-type payoff you have at once. In the late game it turns spare mana into extra bodies, which matters for decks that sacrifice creatures or count them. It is a quiet upgrade, but it is exactly the kind of land that makes a creature deck run smoother.
This is the Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander printing, collector number 42, an extended-art rare illustrated by Iris Compiet, with the artwork stretched across the full width of the card. Non-foil.
